"The heart of the practice is the people."
Our practice is defined by the talented individuals who bring passion, creativity, and expertise to each project. We believe in collaboration and understanding our clients' needs, resulting in innovative and practical architectural solutions. Our team's commitment to excellence drives our success.
Our team is the perfect size to build lasting relationships—both inside and out. We work collaboratively with our clients while investing in the development and well-being of every team member. Our agility and strong client relationships enable us to respond dynamically, delivering innovative and transformative spaces. We endeavour to make good architecture accessible to all.
While we may be a small team, we bring a wealth of experience to the table. Collectively, we’ve contributed to projects ranging from Winchester Sport and Leisure Park and hotel accommodation in the South Downs National Park to medium-scale housing developments and, of course, stunning bespoke homes and extensions in extraordinary locations.
We’ve stepped away from the more bureaucratic aspects of the larger firms where we first cut our teeth as architects. But those early years were formative—they opened our eyes to the endless possibilities of architecture and gave us a solid foundation of confidence and ambition.
Now, we enjoy the freedom that comes with being Architékton Architects.
The practice prides itself on its diversity of experience, something that is borne through our curiosity for travel and exploration of different cultures.
We believe architecture is influenced not just by the built form, but also by our social interactions, the way we live, and how we engage with the spaces around us. Good design should be accessible to everyone, and we aim to integrate thoughtful architecture into our communities, enhancing the places we live and work.
Though we still tackle ambitious, complex projects, we approach them in our own unique way. While maintaining discipline and efficient systems is as important as ever, we always make room for creativity, individuality, and a hands-on approach.
Our diverse perspectives enrich our work, and we thrive on bouncing ideas off one another, especially when faced with particularly challenging problems. These collaborative moments are some of the best parts of being a small, close-knit, resourceful team.
Robert also guest speaks at home and abroad about architecture, its links to the arts, culture, and the evolution of modern society. His broad experience adds a unique dimension to our work, helping us stay engaged with the wider conversations shaping the field.
We’re fortunate to collaborate with some truly talented consultants. Whether we need a specialist craftsperson or a heritage expert, we always know who to reach out to. They’re an integral part of our team, and we deeply value their expertise and contributions.
